iGolaware Linux was created to be a complete modern day operating system. Linux has the advantage of being a free, secure and open source OS. However all too often Linux is frowned upon by the general public as being "too complex" or "only for geeks". This perception has however been changing recently with the mass take up of Google's mobile Android operating system. On the PC front Canonical's Ubuntu Linux has been steadily gaining popularity and stands today as the most popular Linux distribution. Ubuntu was designed to be an easy, user friendly Linux; ideal for new comers to the Linux OS.
iGolaware however goes further. The intention was to create an Ubuntu based Linux distribution, fine tuned for all your needs, that you require from your PC at home. We've included many extra programs, codecs and drivers that give the best ever PC user experience.
If you want your PC to be secure, fast, reliable, easy to use and packed with some really useful software for the home, then like more than 100,000 others, you should consider to download the free iGolaware Linux DVD from this web site. Just click on the DOWNLOAD button above.

Quick update. iGolaware 2.5 release has unfortunately been delayed, as you probably have noticed. We are now working flat out to get this software released ASAP. Hopefully if there are no more delays then iGolaware Linux 2.5 should be available no later than Saturday 3rd September 2011. Sorry for the delay but developers have to eat too!!!
iGolaware Linux 2.5 is nearly finished (expected 1 August 2011). Based on Ubuntu 10.10 the kernel has been updated to the latest stable release namely 2.6.39.2. We have stuck with Gnome 2.32 for now but are looking to release a KDE version by the end of July 2011. Dropped from this version is Evolution E-mail client in favor of Mozilla Thunderbird 5.0 and OpenOffice.org for Libre Office. The software included has been updated to all the latest versions (Firefox 5.0, Chromium 12.0, GIMP 2.6.11, Kdenlive 0.78 etc).
Furthermore new software has been included (DeVeDe, Linux Mint menu, Filezilla) and we are proud to present our new, configurable "look and feel"
